Pilibhit: Pilibhit Tiger Reserve depends on World Wide Fund for Nature-India (WWF) for strengthening its infrastructure, as it fulfill’s the department’s demand for vehicles besides providing means of communication, fuel support, life jackets, winter jackets, blankets and imparting training to the staff. Recently, the social forestry division sent a requisition to WWF for an animal ambulance with facility of primary medical assistance. The authorities of PTR could not answer why they incessantly put their demands before the WWF despite claiming that they were well equipped. WWF coordinator Mudit Gupta told TOI that from 2003 till May 2015, they had donated three jeeps, 14 motorcycles and 70 cycles, two boats, and 21 wireless sets to the forest department besides installing three wireless towers and 30 GPS. They also assisted the department with free supplies of 50 life jackets, 450 winter jackets and 200 blankets.
